Responsibilities

Supporting both Daytona Homes and City Homes Master Builder, estimators are responsible for accurate and timely purchase orders for construction starts and contribute to the maintenance of the ERP software for master budgets and projects.

 

  • Organize and maintain job files for our housing projects; ensuring smooth operations
  • Plan detailed material take offs & cost estimates, laying the groundwork for successful project.
  • Provide sub trade pricing for plans, specifications and coordinate the tender process;
  • Execute cost to complete estimates, issue purchase orders to sub trades and material suppliers ;
  • Prepare comprehensive job files for the superintendents reference.
  • Monitor flow of invoices and work with accounting to ensure timely and accurate payables;
  • Fulfill all sales price requests promptly
  • Liaise with Sales Consultants/Admin team and Superintendent to ensure accuracy of information being distributed to the field;
  • Develop and maintain model masters;
  • Build and maintain product library options/upgrades;
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned;
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of residential estimating experience
  • Experience using ERP software, ideally newstar is considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Capability to create & maintain housing budgets & costing options
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
