Purpose: Direct and coordinate Field Technicians, trade/supplier partners and inspectors to ensure all homes are constructed within company quality and time objectives.
- Be prepared prior to construction start by reviewing site conditions and job file (specifications, blueprints, permits, purchase order’s change requests, soils, etc.)
- Walk each house every day (including completed homes) to ensure job site readiness, quality and time objectives are met
- Coordinate, direct and schedule the work of trade/supplier partners to ensure company quality and time objectives are met and measured against pre-determined milestones
- Conduct thorough new home orientation inspections and sign off with customers in accordance with company processes and timelines
- Participate in enforcing the company’s safety policies and procedures
- Notify Construction Manager of trade, design and/or material delivery issues
- Maintain weekly communication with Sales Consultants to ensure customer expectations are maintained
- Participate in construction meetings, seminars and training sessions
- Manage the emergency on-call phone 1-week at a time in rotation with other staff throughout the year
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned
- Experience in a construction role within the home building industry
- Knowledge of building codes and construction costs
- Basic computer skills required for the scheduling software
- Ability to follow strict safety protocols
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and power tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid drivers license and willingness to use personal truck for work purposes
- Degree/certificate/diploma in Construction related field (asset, but not required)
- WHMIS 2015 (required, will be provided if applicant does not have)
- Current Standard First Aid (required, will be provided if applicant does not have)
- Leadership for Safety Excellence (required, will be provided if applicant does not have)
- Worksite Investigation Basics (required, will be provided if applicant does not have)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to walk on uneven ground
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours per day
