Responsibilities

Responsible to retain expert knowledge in Newstar Enterprise, Sales and BuildPro applications.

System Administration:

  • Responsible for system administration of Newstar and BuildPro software and cloud services
  • Perform problem investigation, analysis and provide resolution for Newstar and BuildPro
  • Maintain Newstar and BuildPro, including updating job schedules templates, and solving synch issues
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge in the Newstar and BuildPro functional processes and features
  • Monitor all Newstar/BuildPro system interfaces and maintain uptime
  • Remain current on all software updates and ensure that updates and changes to software are communicated to the appropriate parties
  • Creation, implementation, maintenance, and training of Newstar and BuildPro related projects
  • Test and validate all new system projects and new releases in Newstar ERP and BuildPro software
  • Identify improvement opportunities in processes, procedures, workflow, and system maintenance

End-User Support:

  • Provide professional support for Newstar / BuildPro software issues
  • Evaluate end-user software needs and recommend solutions
  • Work with stake holders to recommend best practices to promote efficient use of Newstar by end-users
  • Create procedures, documentation and training programs, that are consistent with best practices
  • Provide end-user training on Newstar and BuildPro software including regular training programs
  • Respond to all tickets in relation to Newstar questions, implementation, problem solving, maintenance requests, and training requests
Requirements

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of all Newstar modules and their integration with one another, with particular knowledge of Newstar Enterprise Accounting
  • Experience administering and maintaining Newstar Enterprise and Newstar Sales systems and processes.
  • Critical thinking, cross-functional collaboration and training skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to learn new processes, research improvements, and create implementation plans
  • Experience working in Estimating/Production with Newstar is an asset
