Responsibilities
- Produce accurate construction drawings (including ordering plot plan) in a timely fashion
- Maintain construction drawings and documents for Master Plans
- Implement design changes, including Building Code adoption, revisions/updates
- Prioritizes assigned tasks in accordance with established project schedules by adhering to time frames and deadlines; perform duties in a manner that will assist other team members or customers to carry out their responsibilities
- Maintain documentation and drawings for building permit applications; ensure current building codes are being accurately applied to all files
- Maintains efficient organization of both electronic and hard copy records of all design/drawing documents, permits and correspondence
- Communicate directly with architectural controllers or planning and development departments of various municipalities
- Communicate with sales on signed plans regarding corrections, additions, errors or omissions
Requirements
- Architectural Technology Diploma, significant experience using AutoCAD
- Minimum 2 years’ residential design / drafting experience.
- Maintains efficient organization, storage and filing of electronic records of all design/drawing documents, permits and correspondence
- Ability to manage a fast paced, heavy workload
- Excellent time management skills
- Team player and must have a positive attitude
