 Tacada is looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual to join our team. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Payable is responsible for the timely preparation of all payments to trades, vendors, employees, and utilities related to Daytona’s housing/land operations.

  • Organize, sort and code respective companies’ invoices for appropriate Management approval
  • Adhere to internal controls, and verification processes over accounting transactions ensuring all information and reports remain timely and accurate
  • Prepare of all quick pay invoices as per cheque payment cycle guidelines for quick pays
  • Assist with vendor inquiries as to invoicing and payment concerns, issues and questions
  • Ensure WCB accounts are checked to ensure trades are not in arrears and administer holdbacks as required on delinquent accounts
  • File all payable related documentation in a practical, accurate and timely manner
  • Complete regular review of accounting policies, procedures, and related documents.
  • Minimum of 2-year accounting experience
  • Experience to Newstar software is an asset
  • Ability to communicate both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and possess a high degree of accuracy with every task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Willingness to adapt and work with an engaged, dynamic and collaborative team
